Silicon Mountain has introduced two new high-definition LCD TV models that have fully-integrated PC, Blu-ray, CD and DVD players built directly into the TV.
The new 32 and 42-inch Allio HDTVs have the integrated HD tuner and HDMI inputs, but also have some features not included in other TVs -- including a Blu-ray player and PC.
Pricing will start at $1,599 for a 32-inch HDTV with a 2.5GHz Core 2 Duo, 250 GB HDD, 2GB memory and DVD burner, with the 42-inch version coming in at $1,999. The 2.53 GHZ model featuring Blu-ray and PVR recording will cost $2,199 for the 32-inch model and $2,399 for a $42-inch TV. The higher end HDTV with 4GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage will cost $2,399 and $2,799, respectively.

All TVs have 802.11g WiFi and a wireless keyboard and mouse are available to reduce the amount of cables necessary in the living room. The wireless Internet will offer owners easy access to streaming Internet video when a set-top box or game console typically is needed to access online content.
Each TV ships preloaded with Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium. Consumers looking to avoid Windows and save a couple of dollars will be able to wait for Allios preloaded with Ubuntu Linux.
Companies trying to make a bigger impact in the living room face stiff competition from companies with a strong foothold, so combining HDTV with a PC and Blu-ray player will help grab the company headlines.
Depending on how sales are of previous HDTVs that are bundled with other technologies, expect to see similar product announcements in the future.
