SlySoft cracks latest BD+ protection

SlySoft today sent out a press release to select media informing the world it has successfully broken the latest Blu-ray Disc BD+ plus DRM protection.

Hollywood thought they had SlySoft beaten with its latest Blu-ray Disc BD+ plus DRM protection,  but must be dismayed to now learn AnyDVD HD 6.5.0.2 -- originally expected to be released in February -- gives users the ability to decrypt copy protection on all Blu-ray movies currently available.

BD+ was created as an additional layer of copy protection on Blu-ray discs for an estimated 10 years, but the SlySoft crew managed to crack its technology in just eight months.

On Jan. 1, SlySoft will modify its update policy -- no more free lifetime updates, as the company will begin to offer an annual subscription fee.

There has been an interesting competition between Hollywood and SlySoft, as both parties appear to be very dedicated towards seeing their respective sides win.  SlySoft is a software company that distributes its software online only, with a library including AnyDVD, CloneDVD, and Game Jackal Pro.
