SlySoft launches AnyDVD HD (for HD DVD decryption)

Despite SlySoft only recently requesting beta testers for a beta version of its AnyDVD HD software, the package has already become retail.  However, it sells at a US$30 premium over its standard AnyDVD software package, with a retail price of US$79.  Existing AnyDVD customers can by an upgrade license for US$30.

Unlike the free backup HD DVD tool going around, AnyDVD HD is designed with the novice user in mind to allow them to get around the AACS copy protection with just a few simple mouse clicks, along with the advantage of being able to remove the dreaded user prohibitions (such as 'unskipable' content), remove parental restrictions and remaster commercial discs.  The other obvious advantage is being able to play HD DVDs without the need for a HDCP compliant graphics card and display.  SlySoft claims their AnyDVD HD software will work with all known titles and are also happy to get the final version out in such a short period of time of beginning the development of AnyDVD HD.

With the AnyDVD HD software gone retail, SlySoft now plans working on a Blu-ray version with availability expected this quarter.  Blu-ray uses the same AACS system as HD DVD, not to mention both Blu-ray and HD DVD using the same processing key for encryption.
