SlySoft updates AnyDVD to 6.0.8.0 adds MCE 2005 fix

Okay, so you bought The Little Mermaid and you also have a two year old with anxious sticky fingers. You ae a bit nervous, as this is a Disney limited release! Not to mention, you know it will be pulled from the box about 200 times in the next 60 days...what to do? Get AnyDVD and CloneDVD! Back that sucker up and put the darn thing away for now. If the kid tears up the disc playing with it in the sandbox, you can make another for as little as fifty cents- the price of a blank disc!

With this SlySoft AnyDVD program running in the background, any movie that you purchase, will now appear unprotected. Making a copy is as easy as burning any video file using your present burning program. Or, with the addition of CloneDVD, you have more control to easily strip out all extras such as subtitles, extra sound tracks, languages etc., leaving just the main movie, which you can compress to fit on a single layer disc. Your child can simply place the disc in the player, set down and the movie just starts!

What's new in this version: 6.0.8.0, 2006 10 08

  • Added support for the "Protect DVD-Video" copy protection to the option to remove "Protection based on unreadable Sectors"
  • UDF filesystem patch. With the help of AnyDVD DVDs protected with "Protect DVD-Video" can now be played on Windows MCE 2005, with Windows Media player or Zoom Player. Without AnyDVD these DVDs will not play correctly on PCs.
  • Added fix for DVDs with wrong title set search tables.
These DVDs caused CloneDVD / CloneDVD mobile to skip parts of the movie. We are not sure if this is the lame attempt of a copy protection, or an unintentional mastering error.
  • Improved support for the FluxDVD protection found on DVDs created from downloads from CinemaNow (needs CloneCD, CloneDVD 2.9.0.1 or better or CloneDVD mobile 1.1.1.0 or better to make a copy)
  • Added support for new versions of the SONY Arccos protection to the option to remove "Protection based on unreadable Sectors"
  • Added check to the "Jump directly to Tile Menu" function, so the player won't deadlock

Bug Fixes:

  • Title sets with program chains without programs/cells caused AnyDVD to crash
  • Some minor fixes and improvements
