Sony introduces smallest Full HD camcorder

Are you one of those people that takes the video camera with you on a weekend trip or holiday? After a great time you invite the whole family and everybody enjoys your holiday in standard definition... Besides the cold beer and snacks you don't really amaze your friends and family so Sony has an idea. The company now introduces the world's smallest handycam camcorder. Definitely a product for those that pack and travel light.

Sony's HDR-TG1 camcorder weighs only ten ounces, and measures 1.3-inches wide by 4.7-inches tall by 2.5-inches deep. Besides its amazing size it has the technological features that you can expect from a Full HD camcorder. It can record 1920x1080 HD video and 4 megapixel pictures directly to a Sony Memory Stick PRO Duo or PRO Duo Mark2 media cards.

The HDR-TG1 offers four recording modes, which are different based on the recorded resolution and the movies' size. The camera ships together with a 4GB Pro DUO Mark2 media card which gives you the possibility to drop the camera in you travel luggage immediately. Because of the camera's size and full recording capabilities we can say that Sony offers the smallest Full HD camcorder. Now that we've said that we can focus on its price... The HDR-TG1 (+ media card) will start shipping in May at $900. A travel kid will cost you an additional $100.

So, your family will now enjoy your holiday in high-definition... But, is the small size, worth the high prize?
