TotalDVD.com reports that Sony has announced two new DVD players that are certainly not the usual black box.
Sony is about to target a completely new audiences with two of its latest DVVD players. First up there's the 239 DVP-PQ1, AKA the Picot, a uniquely-styled desk-standing model targetted at the 'youth' market - the 15-25 year-old group who are like to make a feature of their technology rather than hide it away. |
To this end, it's possible to change the complete look of the angled fascia to suit yourself; you just slide in a different design into the transparent triangular plastic compartment over the disc tray. This could just be a funky colourful design, or a picture of a favourite popstar or football player.
Released around August, Sony also claims the Picot will be able to play DVD+RW, DVD-R/RW and CD-R/RW discs, as well as MP3 files
