Sony to debut 20 Blu-ray movies during March to April

D4rk0n3 used our news submit to tell us about yet another article from DigiTimes. This one refers to some snazzy high definition coming from Sony! Oddly, there is no player to put them in due to all the DRM wrangling so it seems we don't have a release date. Oh well, that gives us time to visit our banker and float a loan for a new HDCP television set! Oh and don't forget the Internet cable.

Sony Pictures Entertainment plans to roll out 20 DVD movies that support the Blu-ray standard, but the exact launch date of these movies will depend on the launch schedule for the first DVD player to support the Blu-ray standard, according to a report in the Chinese-language Commercial Times. Sony expects to introduce a total of 150 DVD movies playable at the Blu-ray standard in 2006.
