Survey finds DVDs frequently lost or ruined, backups are needed!

The results of the survey further demonstrate the cost-benefit to consumers of backing-up the contents of their DVD libraries. DVDs are expensive to replace and consumers are becoming increasingly frustrated with irreversible and often irreplaceable damage that can occur. By using products like DVD X COPY, consumers, like the 3,190 respondents that participated in the survey, can protect their valuable investments in their digital property.

"DVDs are fragile but nonetheless are valuable commodities. DVDs can easily get lost, stolen, scratched, broken or damaged by heat. The average cost per DVD can be - dollars. Replacement costs can and do add up over time. In addition, many DVDs are simply irreplaceable as they are no longer published and replacements can not be purchased at any price," said Robert Moore, president of 321 Studios. Additional survey highlights include:

• 23 percent of respondents must replace 11-20 DVDs each year because of damage or loss.
• Another 20 percent of survey respondents are serious DVD collectors, and lose or ruin 21 or more DVDs each year.
