According to a news published at Tech-On, TDK released a new series of Solid State Drives (SSD) featuring a Micro SATA interface and a 1.8" form factor, aimed mainly for notebook computers and industrial devices.
The new series, named "HS1", is available in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB capacities, and as you can imagine prices are not exactly... user-friendly: US$1,902 (about €1,230) for the 64GB model!
As most SSDs, these drives also feature a very low power consumption (20mA in standby mode) and amazing performance (100MBps reading and 50MBps writing).
