Tascam DP-01FX Digital 8-Track recorder with CD burner

This is pretty cool if you happen to be a musician and need a way to capture your music. This easy to use 8 track "Portastudio" allows you to burn your mixes directly to CD or back up your work in progress at any time without having to transfer it to computer first. Not only that, this latest model features an integrated CD burner. Another use mentioned is for schools to capture student rehearsals by using two mics. You can find it on the Internet for less than 500 bucks.

The DP-01FX has two mic inputs for dual mono or stereo recording. It will record initially to an internal 40GB hard drive, and a stereo master track is available for recording a mix. An LCD display shows meters, editing settings and locate points. The DP-01FX has a USB 2.0 jack for file backup and transferring mixes to a computer. There are analog RCA line outputs, a headphone out and S/PDIF line output. The DP-01FX also has a multi-effects processor for adding effects to an instrument during recording and a reverb processor for adding effects during a mix.
