Japan has posted information on their website of two new DVD recorders. The
first one, the DV-W58E, is a DVD+R
recorder which supports 8x recording for DVD+R media and 4x recording for DVD+RW
media. The drive can of course also record CD-R and CD-RW media and does so at
speeds of up to 32x for CD-R and 16x for CD-RW media.
Teac's other new DVD recorder is the DV-W22PUB, an external slim drive. According to Teac's website this drive
is world's slimmest drive as it measures only 15mm thick. The DV-W22PUB can
record DVD-RAM (2x), DVD-R (2x), DVD-RW (1x), CD-R (16x) and CD-RW
(10x) media:
