QPS announced today that they will start shipping their USB 2.0 external CD-RW drive. The drive is able to both write and rewrite at 8 speed and read at 32 speed. The drive has a 2 Mb buffer to prevent buffer underruns.
If you don't have a USB 2.0 capable computer then this drive will still do it's work. Using a USB 1.1 connection it will still be able to write and rewrite at 4 speed and will read your CD's back at 8 speed.

The fast, new drive is also backward compatible with USB 1.1 (for USB 1.1-equipped PCs) at speeds of 4x4x8. The Que!
