The IFPI forbids the truth!

This is 'censorship' taken to the extreme to be sure!  The same organization that is assumed to be on the 'right side of the law' gets 'antsy,' then bars people best qualified to address the topics as well as being best suited to offer concrete solutions?  The silliest thing is the IFPI asked representatives from the Fundaé§é£o Getulio Vargas to attend, then it claims there was no room for them.  But other agencies found the following true:

Later on it was discovered from various news agencies, including Reuters and the AP, that it was in fact a lie and that there was ample seating available in the room.

Just as the RIAA backs down when someone vigorously defends oneself before the RIAA's lack of evidence, when its real modus operandi would become evident to an informed judge, one willing to rule on facts, or even having a discussion of how to best address the problem and thereby resolve it to everyone's benefit, the IFPI shuts down a likely presentation of facts that would make it look bad and its actions ill-advised!

Just briefly reviewing the Fundaé§é£o Getulio Vargas' list of associates, as well as just the information presented in the Wikipedia link inside the article shows these representatives to likely have had the best answers to resolve the 'business fiasco' that is part of the RIAA/IFPI problem.  Given the fact these people are among the foremost experts in Business Administration and Business Law, this can only mean that the RIAA/IFPI is not interested in implementing a real solution; the organizations (as in the RIAA's video to college campuses) prefer only their version of reality and are not interested in the truth of how to best deal with the problem they created by their heavy-handed approach.  It is also an implied admission of guilt that on some subconscious level, the organizations know they are wrong, but given their recent international lawsuit escalation, they are so 'into' their crusade that backing down now would mean them losing too much face if they stopped and confessed they were mistaken in such pursuits.  Given the fact they will not stop, it is up to the Brazilian petition, coordinated European efforts and citizens in general to reclaim former copyright and fair use provisions.
