Toshiba HD-XA2 HD DVD player reviewed @HD Guru

HD Guru published a review of the 2nd generation HD-DVD standalone player, featuring some improvements compared to the first generation ones. According to the article, the 2nd generation player is faster requiring "only" 35 seconds to boot up.

The biggest improvement, however, is related on signal processing abilities and also in upscaling capabilities for non high definition content thanks to the excellent Silicon Optix Hollywood Quality Video (HQV) Reon scaler/processor.

Less interesting, as usual for all high definition players, is the price: $999 (about €770).

As usual, feel free to discuss about this player on our forum.
