Toshiba brings us a new line of CD-R/CD-RW/DVD products. It is a complete line of small, slim, light and low-power optical products such a CD-RW drive and CD-RW/DVD combo drive.
Slim-line CD-R/RW is a new addition to our mobile product line, because we have focused on the slim-line combination drive as our primary rewritable format since it offers both rewritable CD and DVD capabilities,'' said Maciek Brzeski, vice president of marketing at Toshiba SDD. ``We think this technology addition makes sense to provide mobile PC manufacturers with the full array of rewritable storage solutions, so that they can vary their product mix according to customer set. |
Slim-line CD-R/RW provides a simple storage option at a lower price point for entry level or mid-range mobile customers, whereas, the slim-line combination drive can be a value-added offering to those looking for DVD playback as well as CD recording capability.
