Toshiba has filed suit against 17 different companies for DVD patent infringement. They are seeking injunctive relief to halt importation as well as damages based on loss of business. Toshiba says that these low priced competitors are utilizing Toshiba technology, that these companies such as Daewoo are manufacturing cheap products without permission.
