After many bought a cheap HD DVD player and were convinced it was a good investment, we saw Warner's withdrawal from the format and the silent end of the format war. Before this happened Toshiba promised five free HD DVDs and the player itself was priced at only $100. One of the convinced buyers is David LaGesse from U.S. News.
In one of his stories he tells about the mismanagement at Toshiba since they recently have sent him a postcard saying the demand for movies was too high. "Unfortunately due to such high demand your shipment will be delayed."
It seems more people must have this problem. Is there anyone around here as unlucky as LaGesse?
