Universal Music Group announced the establishment of a new executive position dedicated to the fight against piracy.
Co-Founder and Senior Vice President of Entertainment for ClickRadio, David Benjamin was appointed to the position of Senior Vice President, Anti-Piracy, responsible for overseeing and coordinating the label's anti-piracy activities. As Zach Horowitz, President & CEO from UMG reports:
At a time when two out of every five albums sold globally are pirated recordings and online piracy jeopardizes the livelihood of artists, songwriters, and all those who work in our industry, we believe it is especially critical to have a fully-dedicated position to focus on protecting creative content." |
