VSO Software has released an updated version of PhotoDVD, bringing it to version 2.3.14. This software allows one to create DVDs out of photos to allow them to be viewed in any set-top DVD player, without the need to have built-in JPEG image support or flash memory slots on the DVD player. The advantage here is that one can share digital photos without printing any or relying on everyone to have a PC. The software features support to animate slides, add comments as subtitles to even embedding soundtracks.
The software supports a wide variety of image formats, including many native RAW formats as well as a wide range of audio formats. The output effects include panning and zooming, 4:3 and 16:9 aspect ratios, focus point for pointing out something, up to 3 audio tracks to give a choice of background music, PAL and NTSC support and a built-in DVD recording engine.
