Verity Systems Introduces Automated TEAC P-55
Placerville, CA 07/09/04 - Verity Systems, Inc., world leading designers and manufacturers of on-demand CD and DVD disc publishing equipment, today announced the launch of its range of automated printing and duplicating systems incorporating the new P-55 thermal printer from TEAC.
The TEAC P-55 printer, with its innovative thermal retransfer print system, creates discs with the colour intensity, graphics and durability of silk-screened or offset printed discs but on an on-demand basis. It boasts a host of features, including:
- Photo-realistic presentation: Label design reaches a completely new level of quality where sharpness, contrast and luminance are concerned.
- High durability: Labels printed with the P-55 are coated ("Clear Coating Procedure") and consequently are not just scratchproof, but also UV-protected and water repellent.
- Fast and good value for money: Save up to 30% in comparison with conventional printing methods.
The TEAC P-55 is offered as either a standalone, desktop printer or can be combined with Verity Systems' CopyDisc robotics to provide high-speed automated printing.
The CopyDisc P-55 delivers unattended, automated
printing of up to 220 discs per session. This network operated system utilises
the advanced TrueNET 2 networking software allowing PRN images to be quickly and
easily created directly via TrueNET 2's in-built label designer and sent
remotely to the printer.
Alternatively, the CopyDisc 3P-55, combines the TEAC P-55 with a 3-drive CopyDisc duplicator. Fitted with three CD-R or DVD+/-R drives, this system offers high-speed duplication and the very best on-demand printing. The CopyDisc 3P-55 is a standalone unit whereby no PC is required to operate it giving users maximum versatility, however, the CopyDisc 3P-55 can also be networked.
