WMA is getting better

Inssane used our newssubmit to tell us that people are working on WMA improvement.

VertexLabs has released a sharewareproduct called Advanced WMA Workshop 1.0.

Advanced WMA Workshop is pretty useful tool with Windows Explorer-like interface, allowing you to encode WAV and MP3 files to WMA(Windows Media audio) format with variety of format settings(from 8000 to 48000Hz, up to192kbps), decode WMA and MP3 files to WAV PCM format.

Download Advanced WMA Workshop 1.0 here .

I hope this version of a WMA encoder and decoder is better than the ones we had before. About every WMA I heard sounded like an ancient LP or MC and decoding is a pain in the ass...

Let's just give them another chance... otherwhise we'll just stick to MP3
