What do you consumers like? Not HDTV...

Pike & Fischer, a broadband advisory service, did a survey in which they searched what consumers like the most. How about digital phone services, HDTVs and fast Internet? What do you like and are Pike & Fischer right when concluding that we've a lust for high-speed broadband over HDTVs?

In their recent report, titled Communications Industry Survey: Views on the U.S. economic and regulatory climate, Pike & Fischer shows that they asked a total of 280 executives, engineers and consultants about their opinions. By giving a certain rate to the service or technology these market insiders showed their preference, which concluded in a win for broadband Internet. Though we've to make a mark since the questions were only asked to professionals, which might give another outcome than when asked to the country's average Joe.

With the United States not being the fastest country Internet-wise, we can say this shows that not enough consumers are demanding and that this research could be wrong. Only twenty percent of the U.S. consumers have a broadband connection of 5Mbps or higher, while Asian and European countries are far beyond this stage.

Of course Pike & Fischer is happy with their last research result since their numbers show some perspective. If they are right we will have to see a growth and more Americans will have high-speed broadband in the future.
