Winamp software updated to v5.08c, fixes security bug

Over at
the Winamp Forums we can read that a new version of the music and
video player has been released. According to the changelog this version, 5.08c,
fixes a critical security bug so users of Winamp 5 are recommended to upgrade.
Here is the complete list of changes:


Winamp v5.08c:



  • Created new eMusic bundles

  • Critical Security bug fixed in in_mp4.dll and
    enc_mp4.dll and libmp4v2.dll

  • HTTP Seeking corrected for webservers that refuse
    to return Accept-Range

  • Critical Security buffer overflow fixed in
    in_cdda.dll
