A new way to burn? CD's with integral recording software

Almost any burner sold in retail packages also contains some software included in the box. Besides some softwares useful for creating movies or other utilities, there is also a burning software like Nero or Roxio suites.

Even if softwares included in retail packages usually are in limited or simplified versions, many users often never use them, mostly people that buy a burner for the first time.

The same can happen to people that for the first time buy a computer with a pre-installed burning software, because often they are not aware of the installed softwares.

To help users with no knowledge of computer or burning softwares, Orlogix developed a new method to burn CD media: the self-recording CD-R.

What is a self-recording CD-R? It is a CD with a prerecorded burning software which takes up less than 1% of the space on the disc. How does it work?

Just pop it into your CD or DVD Recorder, follow the wizard-driven instructions on screen and in a few clicks, you'll be up & running; no lengthy installation process or tedious learning curve to contend with.

Here we have a couple screenshots:

The AutoMagic burning software CD-R is available in the following languages:

  • English
  • Deutsch
  • French
  • Spanish
  • Italian

Prices are a bit less interesting: The AutoMagic CD-R 50 Pack costs €28.92EUR ex. VAT, and there is no indication on what media are used (no mediacode.)
