Acer has added two new netbooks to its popular Aspire One netbook line, as the company prepares for what it hopes to be a busy summer.
Most notably, Acer's AO751h netbook has an 11.6-in., 1364x768 display -- the biggest in the Aspire One line -- with a full-size keyboard, powered by an Intel 1.22GHz Atom Z520 CPU and a 6-cell battery pack. The unit comes with a 160GB HDD, 1GB DDR2 memory along with an Intel integrated graphics chip.
The Acer AO751h is available for $350.
Acer also introduced the Aspire One AOD250 netbook, which is a lighter, thinner version of the original Acer One netbook. It's a 2.44-pound device with a 10.1-in. LED screen offering a 1024x600 resolution with either a 3-cell or 6-cell battery. It doesn't have a full-sized keyboard, and is aimed more towards consumers who want an ultra portable, slim netbook.
Both netbooks are thinner and lighter than previous Acer models, with the 11-inch model looking especially appealing for those looking for a netbook with a full-size keyboard. Each unit has 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi though Acer said several models have 3G connectivity.
"We predict that the larger display and keyboard will be a game-changer for mobile consumers looking to take it to the next level with the ultimate mobile device," according to Sumit Agnihotry, Acer America VP of product management.

Even though netbooks often are smaller and less powerful than regular notebooks, they often are more mobile and cheaper than notebooks. Acer now controls 30.5 percent of the international netbook market, with 1.8 million units shipped in the first three months of 2009.
