Last April we reported about the CloneDVD software being released but it wasn't was we thought it would be since it was released by a different company than Elby, creators of the well known CloneCD software. At the time of the 'fake' release Elby was working on their own version of the, at that time, highly-anticipated CloneDVD software.
Now it seems that the company that released the 'fake' CloneDVD software has struck again since they have released software that looks a lot like the AnyDVD software, only under a different name, DVD X Ghost. The name of this product also sounds a lot like another software product we all know, namely DVD X Copy .
Last but
not least, the name of the company behind DVD X Ghost, DVD X Studios, looks
a lot like the name of another company we all know, 321 Studios, creators of DVD X Copy and DVD X Copy XPRESS. So it seems like the company behind DVD X Ghost couldn't even think up their own name.. Our thanks goes to An Chang for informing us:

It is a small,effective software working with DVD softwares. It is light on your system resources and resides in system tray. Besides the mentioned DVD X Ghost 'software scam' we were also informed about another possible scam. A company called 3MBTech has released software called CD Break which is being distributed via Burning Byte. Nothing wrong here, but the features mentioned on this Burning Byte website look a lot like the ones that are mentioned on Engelmann Media's RecDev website. Compare these two pages with features for example, Burning Byte and RecDev. Can you spot the differences? We sure can't...
