AOpen
has updated its website with information about the company's first 16x DVD
writer, the DUW1608/ARR. Besides burning DVD+R at 16x it also supports 2.4x
DVD+R DL, 8x DVD-R and 4x DVD±RW. The DUW1608/ARR is also a fast CD writer with
its 48x/32x CD-R/RW speed.

At this
year's Cebit show the DUW1608/ARR was announced with
8x DVD+RW write speed and a larger 8 MB buffer size but unfortunately it looks
like these features didn't make it to the final specifications.
