After installing iOS update 8.2 on the iPhone also an app for Apple Watch is installed that contains nothing but advertising videos. Users can't do anything with the app, but deleting it is not possible. Eventually the Apple Watch app should give access to the App Store for the smart watch.

It should also become possible to connect the iPhone to the Apple Watch with the app. However for everyone that doesn't own an Apple Watch, the app is totally unwanted and useless.
The app seems to be nothing more than an advertisement for the smart watch that's received by everyone who updates their device. Previously the unwanted push of a U2 album on Apple devices using iTunes generated many user complaints.
Many users bundle the unwanted apps in a "superfluous folder". Apps that go in this folder are hardly used apps like Tips, iMovie, Kiosk, Passbook, Pages, Numbers and Keynote. These apps can now be accompanied by the Apple Watch advertising app.
