CDRlabs presents today a review of the APS 40/12/48 CD-RW drive. This drive is able to connect to your PC trough the USB2.0 and FireWire.
The drive has a 4MB buffer and Sanyo's BURN-Proof technology to prevent buffer underruns. Software for both Windows and Apple Mac comes with the drive. Here are the highs and lows:

Lows:
Seek times are higher than average.
Very loud when reading and writing CD's.
Poor performance when reading scratched and dirty discs.
The drive has a maximum CD-RW read speed of only 32x.
