BenQ has released the mysterious DW1650 writer

We can read over on the BenQ page that they have announced the successor to the very popular DW1640 the 1650. Here's partial specs on the 16x DVD±R, 8x DVD+RW, 6x DVD-RW, 4x DVD-R DL and 8x+R DL, laser tilting burner:

Hmmm, this thing looks a hell of a lot like the DW1640! What's going on here? A quick visit to this thread in our awesome BenQ forums, we can read that the specs are indeed the same, but there's a tad bit of a difference in power requirements and the bezel has SolidBurn emblazoned on upon it. But, we'll just have to wait and see if some more information pops up. However, in the meantime, if you are not familiar with the BenQ line of writers and the cool features such as SolidBurn and Write Right - why not head on over to the BenQ page and learn more?
