D4rk0n3 used our news submit to tell us about an interesting development from BenQ. Over at Akihabara news they have some nice clear images of a different bezel design for the DW1670. The BenQ drive supports 5x DVD-RAM, 16x DVD±R, 8x/6x DVD+RW/DVD-RW. The drive also supports 8x/6x DVD+R DL/DVD-R DL writing and we did a preview a while back , of the standard looking model. But, kind of like Pioneer did with some of their retail drive bezels, you can get a more radical look.
It just so happens, that new CD Freaks member jnmjw, started a thread on this subject about a week ago in our forums. There you can take a look at the retail Japanse advertisment and read the complete specs for the drive as well. Can anyone read the little lizards name? Also, another member agent009 posted this retail box shot a few weeks ago,
along with the same drive images we see today at Akihabara. 😉
