It is with great pleasure today that we at CD Freaks can announce that the dreaded "dollar sign bug" has finally been put to rest. If you are a frequent visitor here, no doubt at one time or another you were driven to the brink of insanity when our script ate your words so to speak. Due to a strange behavior in PHP 4.0, a dollar sign as the leading character in a string would cause words to simply disappear, making the comment "I just bought a new DVD drive for $39.99" to read "I just bought a new DVD drive for 9"
We have tried to squash this bug for years without success and were even told by various developers it would be impossible. However, our System Administrator Liggy, AKA Torsten doesn't understand the word "impossible". So after some exhaustive research he found the appropriate code over at Sourceforge and was able to carefully apply a fix. Thank you Torsten for a job well done!

Special thanks as well to Dave Lewiki over at Sourceforge for coming up with a solution to this extremely annoying problem. We will forever be in your debt. For those of you that would like to know what was done to correct this problem, you may visit here.
For those of you that own an awesome NEC drive and frequent our Club forum, maybe you can give your buddy Liggy kudos over there too!
