As you might have noticed we have made some improvements to the site today. Our developers are constantly working to keep this site up and running and listen to our users in creating new and improved features.
The updates from today included:
- Improved news and review item layout: we switched from three columns to two columns so we have more room for e.g. images
- Introduced categories for news and reviews
- Improved archive pages
- Reactions from the 'mainpage' and forum will now be synched. There is only one post count "comments" from now on. This means people who have previously reacted on frontpage stories will see an increased amount of posts in the forums. This is because all reactions are now stored in the forum database.
- Improved moderation of frontpage comments. Comments are now also visible in the forums, so all forum rules are now also applied to the frontpage reactions. The moderators from the forum can also also delete spam messages & ban users who don’t behave 😉
- To decrease spam, only registered members can post reactions on the frontpage from now on
- A new CMS is introduced for adding & editing news and reviews. This new CMS will enable us to add more features in the future because of its flexibility. The new system r0cks 🙂
