Looks like Ian over at CDRLabs has gotten hold of a blue laser writer that can make nice with even a dual layer Blu-ray disc. Ian lets it slip that this drive is actually based on the Panasonic SW-5582, and supports both single and dual layer BD-R and BD-RE media, giving it the ability to store up to 50GB of data or four hours worth of HD video onto a single disc.
