(IDG) -- Civil liberty campaigners maintained their opposition to a new and controversial international treaty aimed at combating online crime, saying that the draft published by the Council of Europe on Friday "lacks privacy assurances."
The Draft Convention on Cyber-crime, marked "Version No. 27 Revised," will be submitted to the European Committee on Crime Problems on June 18, and could be adopted by member states before the end of this year. |
