The
Japanese company Digital CowBoy has just revealed a most interesting device. Here we have what is basically media player with a hard disc drive enclosure, that also can hold an optical drive instead. You are able to make the determination to best fit your needs. The DC-MC50U2 is fully WMV HD compatible allowing for the playback of high definition video through it's handy component or DVI ports at a full 1920x1080. But don't freak out yet, as the media player also supports the following formats as well: Mpeg-1/2/4, DVD (IFO, ISO, VOB). Supported audio formats are MP3, WMA and OGG. As we can see in the second screenshot, this product has decent connectivity, including optical. It can also be operated through an included remote control.
