Womble used our news submit to tell us
that the DVD Forum has met once again and they have made some 20 approvals.
Among those are the formal acceptance of the DVD-R at 12x and 16x speeds,
revisions five and six respectively. In addition, the DVD-RW format was accepted
for 6x speed. The members of the organization also agreed to
a general HD DVD logo, as well as artwork for the HD DVD ROM.
