DVD-RAM roadmap promises 5 times writing speed in 2004

Altough the DVD-RAM format isn't widely used the development of DVD-RAM is continuing. During the IFA in Berlin, last year, the RDVDC already announced that DVD-RAM would be going to 16 speed in 2005. The Japanese website AVWatch has now a picture of the entire roadmap online. In 2000 DVD-RAM started at 2 speed, in 2003 3 speed was reached. 2004 should be the year of 5 speed and by 2005 the DVD-RAM writers should be able to record at 16 speed using CAV technology.
