Erwin van den Berg has notified us that he has updated DVD2One to version 2.0. DVD2One was one of the first applications that was able to transcode a 8.5 GB DVD movie in such a way that it is able to fit on a DVD recordable with still good picture quality. DVD2One has always been applauded for its speed and ease of use but has seen a lot of competition over the years by other applications such as e.g. CloneDVD, DVD95Copy, DVDShrink, Nero Recode, Intervideo DVDCopy and 1ClickDVDCopy .
The new version introduces a complete new GUI, a faster transcoding engine which is also able to deliver better picture quality. Also interesting is that the software now is able to burn discs directly. Before the software authors recommended CopyToDVD to burn the discs.
