John McAfee, the founder of the well known antivirus software company, will run for President in 2016. McAfee also created a new party called Cyber Party. The Federal Election Committee has confirmed that McAfee indeed filed the necessary paperwork. 
McAfee thinks he's going to be President because he has a "huge underground following on the web".
"We are losing privacy at an alarming rate, we have none left," McAfee said in an interview with CNN Money. " We've given up so much for the illusion of security and our government is simply dysfunctional."
He further stated the government's desire to respond to terrorist attacks has resulted in excessive surveillance. "The government can spy on people using their mobile phones while they're with their wives and husbands," McAfee said.
He also added that, according to him, the U.S. government is dysfunctional and lacking understanding of "basic technology that runs the world".
Besides his "huge underground following on the web", McAfee also thinks his honesty, outspoken nature and his willingness to answer any questions about his "checkered background" will be important factor winning the elections. McAfee is controversial as he fled to Belize after the police tried to question him on a murder. He was also arrested for driving under influence and possession of a handgun.
