I don't
know a thing about this program, but I will later today as I just downloaded it
and will give it a try. According to links to Internet sources found on the Menonsoft website that produces
the ripper, they say this puppy is 100% spyware and adware free! As you can see
in the screenshot below, the software comes with a Settings Wizard and I kind of
had to chuckle at the WMA selection.
The download can be found here and it's about 2.35 megs. Just make
sure you have a wnaspi32.dll file somewhere on your system. The program as you
see, can convert to a few audio codecs, even ones that CD Freaks like a lot such
as APE lossless and OGG. For my purposes this afternon, I will rip a
recently purchased album for use in my car CD changer, straight to WAV. 😉
As you can see in the title bar, it says "unregistered" but there's no expiry
date or limitations with the product. However, if you like it, go ahead and use
PayPal and give them a donation. They say all the money will be used to add new
features such as CD Burning, Advanced tag Editing, Audio mixing etc.
