Google is reportedly working on a new feature in its Android camera app that allows an user to outline an object with his finger, after which the search giant provides more information about it. Similar functionality is currently available in Google's Goggle app that is able to determine what's on a photo.
Slashgear reports they've received information from anonymous sources that a more advanced version would come to the default Android camera app. An example on how this would work would be pointing the camera to a mug. When the user uses his finger to outline the product, the camera screen displays additional information about the mug e.g. where it can be bought and at what price.
The app would even deeplink to the product so it can be directly purchased.
