09/07/2004 -- GoVideo today announced it will be demonstrating its new D2740 Wireless Media Receiver+DVD Player at the Intel Developer Forum, Sept. 7 - 9, at the Moscone South Convention Center, in San Francisco. The product will be demonstrated live to conference attendees and will also be on display at the Conference's digital home product display.
GoVideo's D2740 Wireless Media Receiver+DVD Player comes equipped with 802.11g wireless networking and Ethernet onboard, enabling users to effortlessly stream audio, video, and picture content throughout the home to any TV or home theater system. GoVideo's StreamLink™ technology enables content to be accessed on the TV from the PC using either a wired or wireless home network. GoVideo is working toward obtaining Intel Networked Media Product Requirements (NMPR) certification for the D2740, in close cooperation with Intel, Digital 5, Inc., and other technology companies. The D2740 will be one of the only leading Wireless Media Receivers on the market today offering this level of convenience for streaming music, movies, and pictures.
In addition to its streaming capabilities, the GoVideo D2740 Wireless Media Receiver+DVD Player comes with many sophisticated DVD features including a Progressive Scan output that provides enhanced quality picture, and a built in Dolby® Digital decoder giving consumers flexibility in their surround sound applications. The D2740 is equipped with Composite, Component, and S-Video outputs giving users the highest video quality, and Coaxial and Optical Digital Audio Outputs. The DVD tray also allows for periodic product updating via CD-R/RW discs.
