Current.com.au reported that NEC LCD Technologies has created a camcorder-size screen that delivers Full HD resolution. The pocket-size screen packs 413 pixels per inch and allows 1080p images to be viewed. NEC is proud about their newest creation and claims that if embedded in a professional camera, "highly accurate adjustments of focus" could be made due to its high resolution.
This 2.7-inch screen will also remove the need to check colours on an external monitor, NEC claims. For now both NEC Europe and America are planning to ship the NL9654HL0601J by the end of July. If the screen will ever find its way into mobile phones, this hasn't been confirmed by NEC, but according to Current.com.au the screen would be ideal.
Hopefully we will see more companies with these kinds of creations.
