Plextor announces today that it will release a 750GB harddisk that can be connected directly to a TV set to playback DivX, Xvid, MPEG-1/2/4, MP3 and JPEG content without a computer interfering. The harddisk connects to the TV using SCART or audio/video plugs.
Users can add content to the harddisk by plugging the drive into a free USB slot and dragging and dropping media files to it. Besides that, the harddisk has the following features.
- Video upscaling to 720P (HD Ready)
- Hi-Definition JPEG display
- Supports private folder
- Creates playlists on your computer
- Digital photo viewer with thumbnail preview
- Supports NTFS and FAT32 file systems
- Supports component video and digital audio outputs
The harddisk are actually not new, Plextor already released them to the market in January, and today announced that the disks are now also available in a 750GB size.
