Hispanics more likely to buy HDTVs

According to a recent survey from Vertis Communications, Hispanics are more likely to buy a HDTV in the next twelve months. Twenty-eight percent of the questioned Hispanics believe they will buy a large-screen television or HDTV soon and say that TV advertising is the medium that mostly influenced their decision.

Besides TV ads, Internet marketing also had its fair share in their buying decision. Vertis' research was basically focussed on the Hispanic-community and showed that they are ready to throw in some cash. With 22% ready to buy a laptop or notebook, compared to 18% of the non-Hispanics, and a possible increase of digital camera sales to Hispanics in 2008 showed we're talking about a tech-savvy group of people.

It doesn't stop there also in the MP3 market and gaming market Hispanics are expected to spend more than non-Hispanics.
