In an article found over at Gizmodo, we learn that Hitachi has announced a new hybrid camcorder that comes with a hard disc drive as well as a DVD drive. The DZ-HS303 features an 8cm DVD drive, while the 8GB hard disc will hold up to 3 hours using the fine setting and standard recording of 6 hours.
Recordings can be edited within the device and video can be dubbed in whole or in part to the DVD as well. Pricing was stated at $1131. The HS3303 will be available around the end of August in Japan.
