HP introduces 8x/4x DVD+R/RW writers

HP has announced two new 8x DVD
writers, the internal dvd400i drive and the external USB2.0/IEEE1394
dvd400e drive. While many new DVD writers now support both the DVD-R/RW format
and the DVD+R/RW format HP has decided to stick with only the DVD+R/RW format
for its new writers:

"The HP dvd400i and dvd400e simplify and speed up writing and editing video, photos, data and music. The dvd400i is expected to be available this
month for a MSRP of $ 199 and the dvd400e should be available in December for a
MSRP of $ 279. HP brand 8x DVD+R media is also expected to be available later
