Trough our Orkut community we found the developer of Libburn which is a an open source
library suite for reading, mastering and writing optical discs. At the moment it
only writes in RAW96r, RAW16, and SAO modes and it only runs on Linux. FreeBSD
and Windows ports are planned. On the website you can also find more
documentation for the API of the library. The website also calls for
contributions as the documentation for the standards to which Libburn must
comply are not open or free. Nor is the hardware on which it is meant to run.
Any donations would greatly assist its progress by helping us to acquire the
standards documentation and devices we need to make this project a success. Of
course other help is welcome as well! More information can be found on the
Libburn website .
