Frederick used our newssubmit to tell us that our French friends of Blue-Hardware are reporting that the Japanse distributeur of CloneCD is selling CloneDrive. This is a drive that is very compatible with CloneCD. The drive seems to be a rebagded NEC model.
We contacted Elaborate Bytes to see if this drive will also be available in Europe, and altough several thousand of the units have been sold in Japan, the company was not sure if it would be launched on the European market.
The drive is also listed in the supported writers list on the Elby website, as PRO-G and it supports all the modes from CloneCD, it also has a black bezel. Intresting is of course that this drive seems to be picked because of it's compatibility with CloneCD, so NEC might be the brand to look after!
